Would you accept a present from this particular Santa? Dressed in a floppy Christmas hat and fur-trimmed coat, Santa Rat offers a ribbon-wrapped gift with one hand while keeping a dagger behind his back.

Designed by Highlands Miniatures, this festive miniature combines a hunched pose, toothy expression and oversized Christmas clothing with a distinctly dubious sense of generosity. The bow, fur trim and folds of the coat provide plenty of detail to pick out, whether you choose traditional Christmas colours or something a little more sinister.

A compact seasonal painting project, Santa Rat fits neatly into a festive display or a collection of unusual fantasy characters.
